She would do as she promised and then make an end to it. A Krausmeyer was nothing she wish to make an alliance with. It was almost the hour. Debbie threw a beaded wrap over her shoulders and went into her living room to wait. A 1993 powder blue stretch limousine met her eyes when Debbie stepped out of her house. The car was so long it blocked the driveways on either side of her property. "Whose car is this?" Debbie asked the driver. And when she was told that the limo, the driver and the driver's assistant belonged to Ms. Gabriel, Debbie knew she would have to mind her manners. In short the Chairwoman was watching and Debbie would have to let the Krausmeyer down easy. With any luck she would be home in time to watch the ball fall in Times Square.
